Official Depeche Mode Book Release Party
On 1st December 2018, the new book “Depeche Mode – Violator: The Ultimate A & R Guide” will be presented at The Shelter – Tigullio St. Julians.
“Violator” is still the best-selling album of the synth pop band Depeche Mode. Richard Richard Rogers, the author of the book and A & R Man (Artist & Repertoire), provides a guide to the album from an A & R point of view.
There will be readings from the book, providing background information on the development and the author shall be available for a question and answer session.
The one or other anecdote from the music business will certainly be told.
The foreword by Gary Numan will be presented so to tell something about his point of view on the album “Violator”.
On request, the author likes to sign the book and talk to the guests.

The 4th edition of Occultus is happening on the 19th of April 2019. As always, free entry!
As you may have noticed, we have a new home! We’ve moved the event to The Birdcage Lounge in Rabat Malta.

Ash Code is an Italian Dark Wave band formed in 2014 in Napoli by the singer Alessandro Belluccio, the keyboardist Claudia Nottebella and the bass player Adriano Belluccio.
Ash Code music covers a wide range of genres including Dark Wave, post-punk, Synthpop and EBM.
In five years they released three LPs and toured Europe, Russia, Latin America sharing the stage with the most important bands of the scene.

Lady Irene started to dj in the late Nineties. Italo-Belgian, she performed in several clubs of her mother countries, but also in France, Slovenia, Netherlands, Austria, Luxembourg, etc. Nowadays, she lives in Malta.
Irene loves vinyls, CDs and old fashioned mixing skills and she hates the idea of being “stuck” into a predefined music scene. She’s strongly influenced by cyberpunk culture, Gothic atmospheres and her DJ sets always have an eclectic attitude.

Joseph Felice aka The Chemist is all about breaking music boundaries in the local scene since the early days of our local music scene. Started working in Electronic Music as a Promoter when around in 1993/4 joined M.A.D. Promotions, after this experience decided to form a group of local DJ’s called as Unity Network. In 1996 founded the legendary Sonic Mecca and brought an illustrious artists form all over the globe like Richie Hawtin and Surgeon just to mention a Few. Co-founded the first Maltese record label together with Owen Jay.
Joseph is a multi genre music lover and considers his djing adventure as a hobby.
They are big in the industrial scene. Blacksun presents Combichrist Live supported by Club Murder and Martyrium at The Garage Zebbug….
